No Pain No Gain!

Everything we go through in life God has a purpose behind it. He uses circumstances to develop our character. No one is immune to pain or insulated from suffering, and no one gets to ride through life problem/pain free. Infact, if you think about is a series of problems. Everytime you solve one, another is waiting to take its palce. Not all of them are big, but all are significant in your growth process. Many of our problems stem from making bad choices. We have the innate ability as humans to make good or bad choices for ourselves. No matter how great you think you are... sometimes, we inevitably fail at making good choices at some point in our lives. I believe God uses these mistakes in bad judgement to bring you closer to him. It is during suffering that we learn to pray our most authentic, heartfelt, honest to God prayers. When you are in pain, you really don't have time for the Amen corner or the energy to waste on superficial prayers. We need to recognize that temptation simply provides choice. We think temptation lies around us, but it really begins within us. If you didn't have the internal desire, the temptation could not attract you. Temptation always starts in your mind, not in circumstances. Many of us thrive on attention. We need to be desired, loved, valued or to feel pleasure. In order to move forward, you literally need to take a good hard look at yourself. Take responsiblity for your choices. Most importantly, open your heart to others who have your genuine best interest at heart. This is not a time to give up..... It's a time to GROW UP!

This is so true. In order to be tempted it has to first be in our minds. It grows there and stays dormant until we chose to let it out. Though cliche', HE does take you through things to bring you closer to him. Needed this read. Great post!

Looking back on my life, my mistakes have made me stronger. I know what I will tolerate and won't tolerate. But, most of all...I know not to do that ish again!
